Alberta Cylinder Hopper

Modeled after Alberta cylinder hoppers, this freight car is inspired by the cars used to move grain and other bulk commodities across the Canadian Prairies. Their cylindrical body style became closely associated with western Canadian grain service and prairie agriculture.

Handcrafted by real railfans, our wooden trains are designed as durable, child-friendly toys made for years of play and often treasured as keepsakes and heirlooms. While safety and durability always come first in our designs, each piece is still inspired by the look and spirit of the real train.
